Working with Fanny gave us the chance to explore all the vetiver variations found in the great LMR (Laboratoire Monique Remy) scent collection. Vegetable oil is one of our favorite ingredients. We worked on the harmony of the following three versions: Vetiver from Haiti, which is woodsy, dry, and spicy with a hint of bitterness at the beginning that harmonizes beautifully with the rhubarb note. The vetiver from Java is dirtier, with leathery undertones and smokey tones. Vetiver Heart is an excellent substance since it is designed to produce a clean, dry vetiver note without the earthy component.
